Incubator
Incubator
Incubator invests energy
gives regulated heat
To the Egg helping to grow
To give life.
When the egg gets just enough
It breaks the egg and gets out
Now it is cook not an egg
Don't know anything about incubator
Don't want to know about it
A real living thing
Which just to relate to similar once.
This is also for human incubators
who expect to be loved back
for their incubation
and end up devastation.
Incubation is not a good way of relation
Not for lasting relationship
For it creates submission
But It is very kind service
For those who needs it.
Incubation is very kind service
Relation is just another skill.

I am a Mom and I never thought I need freedom of speech to raise my kids!
Eden is my oldest
daughter. She is 8 and half years old. So
far her knowledge of government is about providing electricity and water. Eden’s questions stated as usual to know more.
Eden: Mom,
today there was no electricity almost for two hours. Is there any country without power cut?
Me: Yes,
Eden there are many.
Eden: It
means they have good government.
Me: Relatively
yes.
Eden: Can we
change our government? How can we change
it? (Eden is always proactive on her questions)
I am shocked and
kept quit. Thinking what to say? How to
say? Considering consequences I kept quit for long. (As a child she is going to use my answers as
her truth wherever she go whenever she needs it).
Eden continued
with her questions.
Eden: Mom, have you ever seen change of government
in this country?
Me: Yes
Eden. Once, I was 11 but it happened
after severe civil war.
Eden: That is bad.
You mean is that the Ethio-Italy war? (that is the only war she learnt about
so far)
Me: No this is another was both side
Ethiopian and many Ethiopian died both side.
Eden: Who fought for this government?
Me: Many people Eden.
Thinking how
lucky she does not know the previous and this government.
Now, I couldn’t afford to answer any
of her questions on this subject. I gave
up my freedom of speech even at home even with my 8 and half years daughter. I
gave up mine for hers. It is better to
keep quit myself than telling her not to tell someone else.
I am not a politician. I am just a mom. I never thought freedom of speech will be my
issue. I never thought freedom of speech
will affect the way I want to raise my kids and their mind development.
I use to think, it is good to
explain as much as possible for children’s question for it broaden their mind
and perspective. But this time I don’t
have enough freedom of speech to raise my kids the way they deserve.

One Step Towards Democracy - I don't need This When I Grow Up
This week Kirubel, my third child who is four years and half, is asking me to buy him many toy cars. Almost everyday, very seriously.
One morning Kirubel wake up early morning to remind me to buy him the cars today.
Kirubel: "Mom"
Me: "Today you should buy my cars."
Thinking in search of a way out (and usually this is how I stop kids questions of 'buy me this', 'buy me that')
Me: "Kirubel, I am buying you foods, clothes because these are what you need to survive and more I am paying you at good school and stationery. Such luxury things you will buy by yourself when you grow up"
Kirubel: "Mom! what is wrong with you?"
Me: shocked with the way he said "What?"
Kirubel: "I don't need these toys when I grow up because I don't play when I grow up.
Me: "Really?"
Kirubel: "Mom, Don't you know grown ups don't play with toy cars? They drive a real car. When I grow up I will buy a real car. So, now you have to buy me a toy car now."
Sorry for my daughters, most of the time when they asked me to buy a toy this was my answer. They were convinced and they don't ask that much. I just buy them with my own convenience. Their brother managed to challenge my common answer. To be fair, I shouldn't buy him. But, to be democratic, who believe in discussion at least for this time I am convinced and bought him one. And I think this is one step or one stone towards democracy and building citizen with true belief on dialog.
